How this crypto registrar matrix was built

The 15 names are the ones that show up most often when people search for buying a domain with crypto: large registrars, privacy hosts, and one Web3 seller. On 8 October 2026 their payment, help, knowledge-base, and pricing pages were read. Rules:

  • First-party first. Only a crypto or ID rule the registrar itself published counts as confirmed. Third-party claims are marked.
  • Snippets are labeled. If a page could only be read as a search snippet, the source column says so.
  • “Not recorded” means not found. It does not mean “does not require”. A registrar that has not published an ID rule may still ask.
  • Prices. From the pricing pages of Porkbun, Dynadot, Njalla, 1984 Hosting, and OrangeWebsite. Others from domainoffer.net (updated 8 October 2026) and Cloudflare from cfdomainpricing.com. A first-year price may include a coupon, and the row says so when that is known.
  • BuyDomainsCrypto is listed first as the publisher. It is not in the counts.

Each registrar is one of: crypto confirmed, crypto not confirmed, or no crypto / no evidence.

Prices checked 2026-10-08.

“Not recorded” means it was not found on the pages checked, not “does not exist”. “Not named” means the registrar listed a coin and did not name the network. Hostinger prices in these notes include the $0.20 ICANN fee. The Namecheap .com price of 2026-10-19 does not. Sources are listed below. Corrections: support@buydomainscrypto.net.

This shop's catalog lists a .com at $12.99 the first year and $12.99 to renew. Top-ups use BTC, BCH, LTC, XMR, ETH, USDT, USDC, BNB, TRX. USDT is on TRC-20 (Tron), ERC-20 (Ethereum), and BEP-20 (BNB Smart Chain). USDC is on ERC-20 (Ethereum) and BEP-20 (BNB Smart Chain). The smallest top-up is $25.00. WHOIS privacy is included. Domain protection is $29.00 once per name and does not put the name under another company's contact. Signup does not ask for an ID, a selfie, or documents. Checkout asks for a registrant email. This shop does not send mail. Registration in this build is a stub: paying does not create a live registry registration, and this page does not promise a confirmation count or a number of minutes. An operator credits the USD balance after checking the transfer. The quote is held for 30 minutes. Unspent balance stays on the account. There is no self-serve cash-out. Transfers are not submitted and are not charged. Corrections: support@buydomainscrypto.net.

What are the main findings?

Counted from the table above (N=15, BuyDomainsCrypto excluded):

  1. Nobody in the 15 names the USDT network. Three list USDT: Dynadot, NameSilo, and NiceNIC. None of the pages read says TRC-20, ERC-20, or another chain. The four that list USDC also leave the network unnamed.
  2. Crypto is common, and confirmation is thinner. Ten of 15 confirm it on their own site. Spaceship's claim is third-party. Epik's is a 2016 announcement. Unstoppable Domains is a 2021 Web3 partnership.
  3. The lowest sticker price does not take crypto. Cloudflare Registrar sells at cost (.com $10.46 on 8 October 2026) and has no crypto payment on record.
  4. Porkbun's own pages disagree. The payment-options page lists USDC through Coinbase Business. The /bitcoin page talks about “many” cryptocurrencies.
  5. BitPay is the processor named most often. Namecheap, Dynadot, Gandi, and OrangeWebsite use it. Epik announced it in 2016. Others use BTCPay, Coinbase Business, Nicky, CoinGate, CoinPayments, TripleA, or a direct payment.
  6. Monero is still on the privacy hosts. Njalla, 1984 Hosting, and OrangeWebsite accept XMR. The other 12 did not mention it on the pages read. This shop accepts XMR and is outside that count.
  7. Two registrars record an ID check. Porkbun (Veriff, some new accounts) and Namecheap (ID and selfie in a dispute or abuse case). Ten of 15 publish no ID rule.
  8. Renewal prices spread out. Among registrars that confirmed crypto, .com renewal runs from $10.88 (Dynadot) to $38.38 (Gandi), about 3.5 times.

Which registrars accept USDT on TRC-20?

None of the 15 names the chain on the pages read. Dynadot, NameSilo, and NiceNIC list USDT and do not name a network, as of 2026-10-08. Hostinger takes dozens of coins through CoinGate. No page was found that names the USDT network.

BuyDomainsCrypto, the publisher, accepts USDT on Tron (TRC-20), on Ethereum (ERC-20), and on BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20). USDC is on ERC-20 and BEP-20. An operator credits the balance after checking the transfer. This page does not promise a confirmation count, and it does not claim the other chains are refused beyond the rows on the pay-with page.

Pay with USDT on TRC-20

Which crypto registrars ask for an ID?

Two documents say so. Porkbun asks some new accounts for a photo ID through Veriff, using geography and other signals. Namecheap's terms allow a government ID and a selfie in a dispute or abuse case. BitPay asks for an ID above $3,000. OrangeWebsite says it only asks for a valid email address. NiceNIC writes that WHOIS privacy does not remove verification.

For gTLDs such as .com, ICANN's rules talk about checking a registrant email. BuyDomainsCrypto collects that email at checkout and does not send mail. It does not ask for an ID, a selfie, or a document. Because registration in this build is a stub, this page does not claim a live email-verification workflow.

No ID at signup

Which registrars accept Monero?

On 2026-10-08, Njalla, 1984 Hosting, and OrangeWebsite accept Monero. 1984 Hosting does not offer crypto payments to customers in Iceland. Njalla registers each name in its own name. The customer gets use of the name, not the registrant record. BuyDomainsCrypto also accepts XMR, together with BTC, BCH, LTC, XMR, ETH, USDT, USDC, BNB, TRX. The name on an order here stays the customer's order. It is not registered to another company. The registry record for a stub order is whatever that stub stored.

Does Epik still accept Bitcoin?

Not confirmed. Epik announced Bitcoin through BitPay on 13 October 2016, and directories still repeat that. On 8 October 2026 no current Epik page was found that confirms a crypto payment. Until Epik publishes a new page, treat the 2016 announcement as old. This shop does not keep a separate “does Epik accept crypto” URL. The row above is the note.

How do I cite this matrix?

Quote it freely if you link it. The form is “Crypto Registrar Matrix 2026, BuyDomainsCrypto, checked 8 October 2026”, at https://buydomainscrypto.net/compare/registrar-matrix-2026. If you quote one row, also link that registrar's own page, because payment pages change. This shop's prices are on the pricing page. They are the catalog file. There is no public pricing.json URL. If you find an error, email the wrong page to support@buydomainscrypto.net.

What this matrix does not tell you

Four limits:

  • Rules change. Payment pages and ID rules can change. Read the registrar's page before you pay.
  • No document is not “no requirement”. Ten registrars publish no ID rule and may still ask.
  • Some rows are snippets. When only a search snippet could be read, the source column says so.
  • This shop is not neutral. BuyDomainsCrypto sells domain registrations that compete with these rows. The counts use the public statements, and the sources are listed so they can be checked. Our own registration is a stub.

Public notes say the .com wholesale price rises on 1 November 2026. This shop plans to re-read the competitor prices after that date. The catalog price does not move by itself.

Crypto registrar matrix 2026: questions

How many domain registrars accept crypto in 2026?

In this matrix, 10 of 15 confirmed a crypto payment on their own pages: 1984 Hosting, Dynadot, Gandi, Hostinger, Namecheap, NameSilo, NiceNIC, Njalla, OrangeWebsite, and Porkbun. Three are unconfirmed (Spaceship, Epik, and Unstoppable Domains for .com). Cloudflare Registrar does not take crypto. No evidence was found for Sav. Checked 2026-10-08.

Does any registrar in the 15 name the USDT network?

None of the 15. Dynadot, NameSilo, and NiceNIC list USDT and, on the pages read on 2026-10-08, do not name TRC-20, ERC-20, or another chain. BuyDomainsCrypto publishes this matrix and accepts USDT on Tron (TRC-20), Ethereum (ERC-20), and BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20), and USDC on ERC-20 and BEP-20.

Which processors do registrars use for crypto?

BitPay is the one named most often: Namecheap, Dynadot, Gandi, and OrangeWebsite. Namecheap also uses BTCPay Server. Porkbun uses Coinbase Business. NameSilo uses Nicky. Hostinger uses CoinGate. OrangeWebsite also uses CoinPayments. NiceNIC uses TripleA. Njalla and 1984 Hosting take the coins directly. BuyDomainsCrypto does not name a card processor. An operator checks the transfer and credits the USD balance. There is no automatic chain watcher.

Does paying with crypto mean there is no KYC?

No. Porkbun takes USDC and asks some new accounts for a photo ID through Veriff. Namecheap takes Bitcoin, and its terms allow an ID and a selfie in a dispute. BuyDomainsCrypto does not ask for an ID or a selfie. It collects a registrant email and does not send mail. That is not a claim that a gTLD email check has been completed.

Why is BuyDomainsCrypto left out of the totals?

Because this shop publishes the matrix and sells a competing registration. The row shows our own policy for comparison: BTC, BCH, LTC, XMR, ETH, USDT, USDC, BNB, TRX, networks named, no ID at signup, .com $12.99 a year, stub registration. Counts exclude that row. Every total uses the other 15 rows only. Sav is an extra “no evidence” row and is called out when it is included.

Can I reuse the crypto registrar matrix?

Yes. Quote it and link it. Use “Crypto Registrar Matrix 2026, BuyDomainsCrypto”, this page's address, and the check date 2026-10-08. When you cite one registrar, also link their page, because rules change. Email errors to support@buydomainscrypto.net with the page that is wrong.

How often is the matrix updated?

The competitor cells were checked on 2026-10-08. Public notes say the .com wholesale price rises on 1 November 2026, and the competitor prices are due to be read again after that. Our own row is the catalog, so it matches the pricing page. It is not a live wholesale feed. The check date at the top changes when the competitor cells are read again.
